Going to study Illustration in HAW Hamburg, I will have to choose my major, and there among them, there is Animation and Games.
And that is what I'm opting for.
So, to prepare for this, I'm studying Character Design. I really like the part that you can be creative with the character, and every pose, emotion, physical marks, piece of clothes that you choose for the character, tells a specific story about that character. Moreover, I'm hooked into the world of character designing after flipping through The Art of Luca and The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia .
Well, I'm still at the beginning of it, therefore I'm just sketching around, building muscles memories. Here is a great source to expand designing inspiration. A huge collection of references ranging from creatures, poses, emotions, clothes, landscapes... may prove super beneficial for the journey to Character Design :D!
